BELGIUM

Catisfactions is a brand of snacks belonging to the Mars Petcare group, a global leader in pet nutrition featuring renowned brands such as Pedigree, Whiskas, and Sheba. Exclusively crafted for cats, Catisfactions offers a variety of flavors in cat treats.

THE BRIEF

Mars acknowledges the diverse taste preferences of cats, and Catisfactions distinguishes itself by presenting a variety of flavors. Catisfactions stands out by offering a rich variety of flavors, allowing cat owners to treat their pets to a culinary adventure and unique tastes.
In efforts to enhance brand awareness, we have introduced a campaign encouraging audiences to share their content with their friends, family, and colleagues. This is an excellent beginning to directly engage with our community of cat owners.
The SmartTrial campaign is a good start for our community to actively participate, share their experiences, and memorable moments with their cat companion. The campaign serves as a dynamic platform for spreading joy and positivity throughout our community.

THE APPROACH

The campaign kicked off with an announcement across Belgium. This was an open invitation to all pet owners, with a special focus on our cat friends. Our big community of pet owners responded happy, resulting in a massive number of subscriptions to the campaign. In total, we had 6,107 that were interested to participate. In the end, we selected 1,500 Insiders whose cats had the opportunity to try the 5 different flavors.

THE STRATEGY

We wanted to make sure to distinguish from other pet food campaigns and include fun a special gift for the cat owners – a cat box house for their furry pets. Similar to other Mars campaigns, this one stood out because of the samples, which include five Catisfactions flavors. During the campaign we asked the insiders to be creative with their photos, hashtag #CatisfactionsBelgium and content. Also, we made sure that the Insiders will receive 15 vouchers to share, allowing them to purchase more Catisfactions treats and share these with the first and second generation.

HIGHLIGHTS

The success of the Catisfactions campaign is evident: during the campaign period 224K recommendations to peers were done and 287K impressions on Social Media were realized. Purchase intent amongst Insiders was 92% and of the people they spoke with 27% will buy Catisfactions in future. The NPS for Catisfactions increased with +86 points. Finally cat owners who participated in the campaign shared their positive reviews on Trustpilot about their cat’s reaction and treats.
